This session will explore the school nurse role in helping to prevent suicide among school-aged youth. Topics will include: risk and protective factors, a proposed collaboration approach and resources available to school nurses and school communities. In addition, the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Safe and Supportive School Framework related to suicide awareness and prevention will be presented.

Join us from 3:30-4:15PM, prior to the event, for an informal Coffee Talk. Franciscan Children’s experts will be available to introduce you to the breadth of programs offered to children and families (specifically outpatient services), as well as answer any questions you might have. Please RSVP if interested so that we can plan additional refreshments accordingly.
