The Canaligator Visits SHARK Baseball Camp at Franciscan Hospital for Children

**MEDIA ADVISORY/PHOTO OPPORTUNITY**

Franciscan Hospital for Children’s SHARK Adaptive Baseball Camp Hosts the Lowell Spinners’ Canaligator

WHAT: Join Franciscan Hospital for Children’s week-long SHARK Adaptive Baseball Camp, where players from Franciscan’s Kennedy Day School will be running drills and showing off their skills while being cheered on by “Canaligator” from the Lowell Spinners!

SHARK Adaptive Baseball Camp is offered by the hospital every summer and offers all children the chance to play America’s favorite game. Throughout the week, children with special needs work on pitching, catching, batting, base-running/wheeling and other baseball activities in small groups with the aid of their coach and therapists, who direct the group activities.

In addition to the Kennedy Day School students participating in Friday’s event, the camp is open to other area children with special needs who want to emulate their favorite Red Sox players, in a fun and safe environment!

Director of the Adaptive Sports Program, Maria Fragala-Pinkham, will also be available for interviews.

WHEN: Friday, August 14, 2015
