The holiday season is fast approaching, and Franciscan Hospital for Children is dedicated to providing support to help you and your family celebrate in special and memorable ways.

We are pleased once again to partner with an organization called Globe Santa. Globe Santa’s mission is to bring joy to children by providing presents to families in need throughout the Greater Boston area. Franciscan Hospital for Children is an agency approved to nominate families as part of the program. For more information on the program, visit globesanta.org.

During this particularly busy time of year, we would like to offer you the opportunity to apply to the Globe Santa program and be considered to receive a donation of presents that you can give to your children. As a part of your application, the Globe Santa program requires that you write a letter explaining your situation and why you are requesting holiday gifts. Below you can find a few questions that may help guide you as you tell your story:

1. Where are you from, and what has brought you to Franciscan Hospital for Children?
2. What holiday will you be celebrating with your family this year?
3. How do you usually celebrate?
4. What is the meaning behind the gifts you give your children?

Your letter should be returned to your provider by Friday, November 25, 2015 and should include your children’s names, gender, ages and your contact information. Unfortunately, applications returned after this date cannot be submitted. Additional paperwork will be completed by your provider including verification of need and will be submitted by the hospital on your behalf.
