Important Announcements Regarding COVID-19

The health and well-being of our patients, families and staff members are paramount. As a result, Franciscan Children’s has implemented numerous safeguards to maintain the integrity of our campus and facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We know that these limits may be challenging however,  please know that we are executing these interim measures to ensure the safety of all our patients, families, visitors and staff.

The following is a list of the safety measures currently in effect.

Screening

  • All patients, family members and visitors must park in Parking Lot A and enter the building from Parking Lot A.
  • All patients, family members, visitors and staff will be screened each time they enter the building.
  • All patients, visitors and staff must wear a mask at all times while in the building.  You will be given a mask in the screening room located inside the entry from Parking Lot A.  Masks must be worn at all times while in the building, on hospital grounds and in the patient rooms.
  • All patients, family members and visitors must practice social distancing by maintaining six feet of space between you and another person while on our campus.

If you have any of the following symptoms or conditions,  you will not be

permitted to visit.

  • Fever, cough, runny nose, fatigue, sore throat, shortness of breath or loss of sense of smell and taste.
  • Any vomiting, diarrhea or any other stomach problems.
  • You have had close contact with someone who is sick with fever and respiratory symptoms or a CONFIRMED case of COVID-19.
  • If you have been tested and your result is positive or not yet resulted.

 

***Visiting Guidelines***

Outpatient Clinics, Therapies and Dental Services
  • One adult allowed per patient. Two adults will be allowed for special circumstances.
  • No visitors under the age of 18
  • All persons entering the building will be screened before every visit
  • All persons are required to wear a mask at all times while on the hospital campus including all indoor and outdoor areas and the patient’s room.
Inpatient Medical Units
  • Two adults may visit together between 10:00am and 8:00pm.  At all other times, one person is permitted.
  • No persons under the age of 18 will be allowed to visit.
  • All persons are required to wear a hospital provided mask at all times while on the hospital campus including indoor and outdoor areas and the patient’s room.
  • Every person visiting must sign in at the screening desk, be screened and obtain a new mask before going to the patient’s room.
Inpatient Mental Health Unit and CBAT
  • Two adult visitors may visit at the same time during your prescheduled visiting time.
  • Visiting hours are limited to 3 hours per week as scheduled by your child’s Social Worker.
  • No persons under the age of 18 will be allowed to visit.
  • All persons are required to wear a mask at all times while on the hospital campus including all indoor and outdoor areas and the patient’s room.
  • All persons must sign in at the screening desk, be screened and obtain a new mask before going to the unit.
New Admissions

All new admissions on all units will be screened for any symptoms of COVID-19 before being admitted.
