Franciscan Children’s honored for commitment to patient quality as member of Children’s Hospitals’ Solutions for Patient Safety
Brighton, Mass. – April 13, 2018 – Franciscan Children’s was among the honored network members of the Children’s Hospitals’ Solutions for Patient Safety which recently received the John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Award for Innovation in Patient Safety and Quality at the National Level at the National Quality Forum’s Annual Conference in Washington, D.C.
The John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Awards are presented by the Joint Commission and the National Quality Forum to recognize the best examples of individual, local and national efforts to improve patient safety and healthcare quality.
“Franciscan Children’s strives to practice and represent the tenets the Children’s Hospitals’ Solution for Patient Safety embodies in our everyday work,” said Elisabeth Schainker, MD, Associate Chief Medical Officer. “In the spirit of cooperation and learning from each other, our organization, along with our fellow members, can drive continued quality outcomes for our patients and their families.”
Children’s Hospitals’ for Patient Safety is a network of more than 130 children’s hospitals in the United States and Canada. By advancing the culture of safety among its member hospitals, an estimated 10,000 children have been spared from harm while hospitalized nationwide.
